Duterte’s viral photo
An OFW based in the US who happens to be a solid Duterte supporter made an unexpected gesture of ordering a customized shoe from Nike complete with the initial of the Mayor (DU30) stitched on the back portion of the shoe.
The post of the netizen went viral after a big blog site picked up the story.
The customized shoes of the presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte resembles the color of the Philippine flag because the dominant color are red, blue and white.
The cost of customizing the shoes for the incoming President is $245 dollars inclusive of tax. The cost of shipping fee to the Philippines is not included.
Lately, Mr. Leno Monteclaro Lucay posted an update in regards to the shoes and wrote:
To all ka DDS who are responsible and made my post went viral in Facebook specially to kicker daily news, thank you for the unwavering support to our beloved Tatay Mayor Digong to be our 16th President. Now the shoes arrive in the Philippines as early as the date expected. I hope he will accept and wear it.
His gesture has been well-received by fellow Duterte supporters who won’t stop ribbing the generous OFW to donate a customized shoe for them as well.
