In a Facebook post shared 3,700 times as of Wednesday evening, a netizen named Perlita C. Henderson published the “alarming” photos on her Facebook timeline that elicited mixed reactions from netizens who expressed fears that the May 2016 presidential election is going to get rigged by power-hungry politicians.

Ms. Perlita C. Henderson, the individual who posted the photos wrote a caption of the photos that showed her apprehension of a rigged election via the PCOS machines come May election.

Before we go to bed, I just want to post these pictures sent by one of our friends in Candon.

Ano ang ginagawa ng PCOS Machines sa isang pribadong establishment sa Candon? Hindi ba dapat nasa custody ito ng local COMELEC office? Tapos na ba ang election sa Candon City? Just asking. Thank you. (What has the PCOS machines been doing in a private establishment in Candon? Are they not supposed to be in the custody of the local COMELEC office? Is the election done and over with in Candon City? Just asking. Thank you.

The photos of the PCOS machines that has been doing the rounds online was allegedly taken in Candon, Ilocos Sur recently.

Meanwhile, a netizen named Alger Galdones Savva who claimed to be part of the group training on how to operate the PCOS machines (Voting Counting Machines) allayed the fears of the netizens who expressed fears of a rigged election result wrote:

Jan po kasi kame nagtraining as VCM TECHNICIAN. and i think hindi pa tapos ang training. yan ang ginamit namin sa training namin how to operate the VCM (VOTING COUNTING MACHINE) kulang pa ata ang mga trainee kaya jan muna ang mga gadgets. ( We are undergoing training there as VCM Technician. And I think the training is not yet over. Those are the machines we used in our training on how to operate the VCM (Vote Counting Machine). The trainees are still not enough so the machines stayed there.

The explanation of the VCM trainee did not make Sally Martinez fully assured so she wrote this:

Are these machines to be used for CANDON? Or if these are for training, how can you guarantee that the training is not to input the votes already made so that the candidates who are allied to PNoy win??? HOW ARE THESE MACHINES SECURED TO WHERE THESE ARE STORED NOW??? AND WHO PICKS WHO FOR TRAINING???

Because of this, another netizen,Bong Guirnalda tried his best to assuage the fears of the concerned netizen and wrote:

The machines po are for training purposes only. The memory cards installed are not for Candon. After the trainings po, said machines will be returned to the warehouse. Memory cards configured for each precinct, each municipality, each province will be used during the elections. (The machines are for training purposes only. Memory cards configured for each precinct, each municipality, each province will be used during the elections.)

The netizen named Sally Martinez replied to Bong Guirnalda perhaps unconvinced of the explanation: You have to understand that In the past there had been UNCLEANED PROCESSES DURING ELECTIONS! Whether it be MANUAL or PCOS MACHINES INVOLVED!

THE FILIPINO PEOPLE AT THIS TIME WILL NO LONGER TOLERATE CHEATING!!! MUCH MORE IN CANDON CITY!!!

Before we go to bed, I just want to post these pictures sent by one of our friends in Candon. Ano ang ginagawa ng PCOS…
