“Mag presidente muna kayo” — Jay Sonza chides Sen. Risa Hontiveros for questioning Parlade’s appointment to Security Council

Senator Risa Hontiveros and the Makabayan Bloc members have been up in arms after the news broke out that President Duterte appointed retired Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. as the Deputy Director of the National Security Council.

Senator Hontiveros said she was worried that Gen. Parlade’s appointment to the National Security Council will only cause national insecurity and instability given his previous actions.

We have many officers qualified to serve as deputy director general of the NSC who are not spreading fake news and red-tagging everything from community to celebrities, Senator Hontiveros added.

On that note, retired broadcaster Jay Sonza has taken to Facebook to chide the Akbayan Senator and the Makabayan Bloc that they have no right to question the President’s prerogative to appoint retired General Parlade to a government post which the President believes suits him. In this case, the National Security Council.

Sonza reminded the senators and congressmen that their domain is legislation and to mind their own business.

Sonza offered one advice to Hontiveros and company if they insist on meddling in the Executive department to become the President first.

Sen. Risa Hontiveros, Makabayan Bloc, Atbp.

Walang kayong “K” o pakialam sa appointment ni Tony Parlade as deputy director general ng National Security Council.

It is the prerogative of the president kung sino ang kanyang hihirangin na katuwang sa Executive Department.

Senators and Congressmen, yours is legislation.

Please mind your own business.

Or better still, mag presidente muna kayo.

It is the prerogative of the President to appoint who he trusted. Are you afraid that the designation of Sir Parlade might wreck your evil hope to ruin the government?

Appointing retired Gen. Antonio Parlade as Deputy Director General of the National Security Council is a Presidential prerogative. It is also a right choice. Congratulations Gen. Parlade!

exactly sir Jay, alam nilang di nila kaya takutin si NSC-DDG Parlade, at alam na ang likaw ng bituka nila.
