Mar Roxas planning a different coup d’ etat’ to win 2016? Atty. Roque believes so

Kabayan partylist nominee, lawyer Harry Roque warns Mar Roxas might be orchestrating an unorthodox kind of coup d’etat’ to grab power after President Aquino steps down in 2016.

The coup d’ etat’ Attorney Harry Roque is alluding to might be taking shape in the legal arena and the plan is to eliminate all the candidates that are perceived to be strong contenders in the 2016 election based on the social weather surveys, if indeed they are accurate.

Based on what is slowly taking shape on the ground, Attorney Roque says all the signs are pointing towards that scenario. For example, Senator Grace Poe is facing a disqualification case in Comelec on the grounds that she is not qualified to run for the 2016 Presidential election due to her residency status issue.

Senator Drilon and his lawyer buddies are said to be working on the sidelines to have Senator Poe disqualified from the 2016 Presidential race and paved the way to Malacanang for his boy Mar Roxas.

Likewise, Vice President Jejomar Binay, another strong candidate to win the 2016 Presidential derby, is facing the specter of campaigning from behind bars.

In fact, the Ombudsman concluded that there is a probable cause to file graft charges against VP Binay related to the alleged overpriced construction of the Makati City Hall Building II.

Meanwhile, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is shadow boxing whether or not to make a run for the 2016 Presidential election which many of his supporters have interpreted as a move to evade the dirty tactics of his adversaries.

This move by the Mayor of Davao City is a stroke of genius because his adversaries are second guessing whether to hit him or not since he is not making any definite commitment to run.

In the next few days or weeks, the campaign to finally eliminate the political adversaries of Mar would go into high gear and all these rumblings would be validated when the scenarios being talked about are going to be played out one by one.

In the event Mar succeeded, the only one standing between him and the Malacanang Palace is none other than Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago which the Liberal Party perceives as beatable due to lack of party machinery of the latter. Besides, Mar’s figures in the major social weather surveys are way better than that of Senator Santiago. But that remains to be seen.

In closing, Attorney Harry Roque reminds the public to be vigilant because he says the coup d’ etat’ these days is different from what we’ve known in the past. Today, the coup plotter are in American suits or Barong Tagalogs armed with petitions and pleadings.

Is this scenario possible?
