After declaring war versus the owners of ABS-CBN, the Ayalas and Manny Pangilinan, President of the PH companies owned by the Salim group of Indonesia, President Duterte’s defiant stand versus Oligarchs has awakened the patriotic fervor of many Filipinos.
One of those OFW’s who were obviously moved by President Duterte’s desire to free the country from the shackles of the Oligarchs is Aldrin Cardenas, an OFW, who volunteered to help President Duterte solve the country’s water shortage problem.
Cardenas, a Bayambang Pangasinan native, wondered why the Philippines isn’t building its own water plants (desalination) considering that they have people with high skills dealing with infra and chemical projects, abundant fresh and seawater supply despite the recurring problem of shortage of water supply and even giving multi billion fines to the business sector.
In the wake of President Duterte declaring war versus the water concessionaires, Cardenas took to Facebook expressing his desire to lend his expertise as an engineer who helped Saudi Arabia construct the biggest Reverse Osmosis Manufacturing facilities in the Kingdom in 2014.
Out of patriotic duty, Cardenas offered his services to President Duterte for free and help the government build its own water plants to supply fresh and drinking water to Filipinos in highly urban areas.
Cardenas argued that the country has abundant supply of highly capable engineers who can help the country build such facility. In fact, the biggest desalination Plant in Jubail KSA were constructed and designed by Filipino Engineers in 2009 and he was among them.

Water…Water…H2O bakit ang mahal mo
2014 i was involved in the construction of the biggest Reverse Osmosis Manufacturing facilities in KSA and the first construction of such plant outside the United States and rated as one of a kind top secret project of DOW Chemicals. Fluor Corporation hired me as Quality Control and Quality Assurance Manager to run the world class project of DOW Chemicals to supply product to Middle East, African region, Eastern Europe, China, India and South East Asia ensuring the Quality execution will be delivered accordingly. Filipino-Canadian-US team completed the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management contract of the said water project and it was a world class rating were we won the hugh coble award and safest construction in the south east asia region.
Filipinos were at high skills dealing with infra and chemical projects. I just wonder why our country, which is abundant in fresh and saline water, faces scarcity of water supply and even giving multi billion fines from the business sectors.
I just want people to know that the biggest desalination Plant in Jubail KSA were constructed and designed by Filipino Engineers in 2009 and I am one of those. Why our government do not want to construct a government owned water plants to supply fresh and drinking water to Filipinos in Highly Urban Areas? And we OFW Filipino Engineers are willing to undertake and help this administration to solve many current issues.
I am sending this message to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte showing my intent to volunteer for free as consultant in the construction of such facilities to help our kababayans who are suffering from the water crisis in Metro Manila and in the entire country.
