Neri Colmenares’ gossipy tweet on Duterte & “Presidential suite” in PGH despite lack of hospital beds boomerangs!

Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares has been the butt of jokes and unflattering remarks among the followers of the FB Page Luminous by Trixie Cruz-Angeles & Ahmed Paglinawan and even on Twitter.

The said FB page started a thread on FB to focus the spotlight on Bayan Muna Representative Neri for making a fool of himself on Twitter.

In case you missed it, Colmenares announced on Twitter what he just discovered – the existence of a so-called Presidential room reserved only for President Duterte. Colmenares laments that despite many poor Filipinos dying due to the lack of hospital beds, the Presidential room is not open to the public. Colmenares demanded that the Presidential room must be opened immediately.

Colmenares’ melodramatic tweet did not escape the radar of the admins of the FB Page Luminous by Trixie Cruz-Angeles & Ahmed Paglinawan who wasted no time in exposing the stupidity of the BayanMuna lawmaker, to the amusement of their socmed followers.

On Facebook, Atty. Trixie writes:

“Aysus. Nakita nyo lang yung term “Presidential” nalaglag na naman ang logic ninyo.”

Atty. Trixie proceeds to belittle Neri’s expose by saying that a presidential suite or room does not necessarily mean it is reserved for the Philippine President. In other words, this is a normal practice among Philippine hospitals.

“Note. Many hospitals have a “presidential suite” or “presidential room”. It doesnt necessarily mean it is for the president of the country. It’s what you call the highest grade (read: most expensive) room in the hospital.”

Atty. Trixie informs the public that PGH, while it is a government hospital, it also has private rooms available for paying patrons. And the Presidential room is just an example.

“The PGH, while it is a government hospital does have private rooms available for paying patients (read: not charity) and yes, it does have a presidential suite.”

Atty. Trixie ended the FB post by taking a swipe at their latest failed narrative of the Opposition about Duterte’s health, that is why they are now

“Hindi lang pumatok yung “malubha na ang sakit at lumipad papuntang Singapore” narrative ninyo, pati yung walang kamuang muang na kwarto ginagamit ninyo sa pabago bagong paninira.”

Netizens on Twitter were the first to call out Colmenares’ attempt to sell the narrative that President Duterte is keeping a reserved room for himself in PGH while many Filipinos are dying because of lack of hospital beds.

@NefrieAngeles asks if Colmenares is not aware that the Presidential room he was talking was just a category? That all hospitals have so-called Presidential suite?

Another netizen also join the question hour to ask Colmenares whether he listened to forme Health Secretary Garin said that the Presidential suite has been there since time immemorial?

On Facebook, netizens have a field day making fun at Colmenares.
