Netizen says giant TV network not showing any signs of bowing down in showdown vs government because it uses 11,000+ employees as “human shield”

A certain Vincent Torre has accused the giant TV network of using their 11,000+ employees who will lose their jobs as a human shield.

In a Facebook post that has gone viral since he published it, Torre remarked that by having a human shield, it afforded the giant TV network the luxury to continue putting up a hardline stance against the government.

Torre noted how the network owners remain adamant, without showing signs of worry because they have friends who are powerful politicians, in the showbiz circles and groups who are demanding that their request for franchise renewal is granted.

Torre remarked that the Quo Warranto petition filed before the Supreme Court by the SolGen did not cover what the noisy supporters of ABS-CBN – like democracy, press freedom at calls for standing up against abuses allegedly of power.

An obviously exasperated Torre could only shake his head why the concerned party (network owner) fails to understand that this isn’t about press freedom and democracy but compliance of the TV network to our Constitution? If there was a violation, is it not right that violator must be punished? These are just one of the many questions from Torre that begs answer from the network.
