A campaign urging Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to run for President in 2022 election to succeed her father is rattling some nerves in the Opposition.
The critics of the Duterte administration know very well that the high approval rating of the President can have a huge impact among the voting public in choosing who will succeed President Duterte.
That is why when critics of the Dutertes got a whiff of the “RUN SARA RUN” campaign, they wasted no time to discredit Sara Dutertes, knowing that in case Sara Duterte decides to run for President in 2022 despite her statement denying she is running for President, she is the overwhelming favorite to succeed her father in Malacanang.
Below is the screenshot of a Dilawan supporter accused Sara Duterte of illegal early electioneering and duplicity for saying she’s not running while at the same time, there is a campaign in the sideline urging her to run.
Are the Dilawan critics correct of accusing Sara Duterte of illegal early electioneering?
Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles of the FB page bearing her name and Ahmed Paglinawan hold the opinion that Sara Duterte isn’t guilty as alleged by critics.
In a Facebook post, Atty. Trixie went on to debunk the allegation that Sara Duterte is guilty of violating a provision of the Omnibus Election Code.
Atty. Trixie did it by defining “unlawful electioneering” and if you pay attention to the definition, it seems to non-lawyers like you and me, Sara did nothing wrong.
Atty. Trixie argued that had Sara’s tarps urging her to run appeared on the last day of registration or on the day of elections, then the Presidential daughter can be held accountable.
Finally, Atty. Trixie checkmated the allegation versus Sara Duterte of early electioneering to produce evidence that the Davao City Mayor was behind the “RUN SARA RUN” campaign.
Otherwise, the Opposition’s case against Sara Duterte is nothing but a rant of a Dilawan supporter.

Ang unlawful electioneering, ayon sa Omnibus Election Code ay:
Unlawful Electioneering. – It is unlawful to solicit votes or undertake any propaganda on the day of registration before the board of inspectors and on the day of election, for or against any candidate or any political party within the polling place and within a radius of thirty meters thereof
Sa madaling sabi, nangyayari lang yan on the day of registration or on the day of elections.
Anong day na po ngayon?
Eto pa… si Sara ba ang nagpapalabas sa mga tao na hikayatin syang tumakbo? Gurl… wala kang ebidensya dyan. As far as we can see, ang “Run Sara Run” ay hikayat ng mga tao na tumakbo siya.
At ang maliwanag dito, hanash lang ang post ni ate gurl.
