A certain Corporal Romelo Mercado, who was stationed as PGH CCTV Monitoring personnel, has one dying wish before he passed away.
“Rest in Peace Pa!” wrote Raymond Mercado son of Cpl Mercado.
The son of Cpl Mercado took to Facebook to fulfill his father’s dying wish.
Raymond went on to share their last photos and dying words of his father, asking the public not to blame the medical front liners no matter what happen to him because they did everything they can to help us.
Raymond remarked that despite the criticism his father watched on social media, his father made a dying request – to make an appreciation post for our front liners. According to him, his father wants the public to know, to hopefully not blame our healthcare system for what happened. Instead of blaming them, his father rendered a salute to all the doctors and nurses who visited to check his condition. His father witnessed how the doctors and nurses fought with the virus everyday, that is why in his last breath, his father wanted to salute all those who took care of those suffering due to the pandemic.
He asked me to make appreciation post for our frontliners. Instead of blaming them, sa huling hininga niya he salute to all the doctors and nurses na pumupunta sakanya to check his condition.
“SA LAHAT NG FRONTLINERS, TANGGAPIN PO NINYO ANG TAOS PUSONG PAG SALUDO NA NAIS IPARATING NG PAPA KO” Raymond addressed the front liners.
Raymond gave netizens a peek of what transpired during the last seconds of his father’s life.
“Guide us from above Corporal Romelo Mercado
We salute you for being a good son to your parents, husband to your wife and father to us. And as you requested, I’ll promise to do the same.”
“LALABAN TAYO? OO LALALABAN
