A Facebook post calling Senator Kiko Pangilinan the ‘quintessential village idiot of the senate’ has trended on Facebook.
Netizen Reen Ramirez gave Pangilinan the label in reaction to a tweet who originally called Pangilinan a ‘confused idiot’.
On Facebook, Ramirez spoke how sometimes she couldn’t help but wonder how the likes of Pangilinan, Hilbay and Robredo did pass the bar exam after making idiotic statements.
Minsan gusto mo na din mapaisip, posible ba na nagbayad lang ito para maging lawyer? When you see the likes of him, Florencio Hilbay, Leni Robredo et al..mapapatanong ka talaga eh. Paano nakapasa ito? Not meant to take a swipe at lawyers here, pero ung totoo, paano nakapasa ang mga ito? 🤔🙄

In case you’re wondering how Pangilinan earned the moniker, props to a guy named Guy Tolentino ranted against Pangilinan for sounding the alarm of a rice shortage. But when the government imports rice, Pangilinan cautions the government from doing such because importation may hurt the farmers.
In frustration, Tolentino couldn’t help but remark, ‘worse than an idiot is a confused idiot.’
