While the Duterte supporters and the general public was in celebratory mood during the inaugural run of the brand new PNR trains bought from Indonesia, some supporters of the Dilawans claimed it was actually a PNoy project.
To lend credence to their claim, they even shared an article to prove their claim.
Fortunately, radio host Mark Lopez was monitoring the comments on the DOTr FB post wherein the Dilawan supporters made the “new PNR train was actually Noynoy Aquino project” claim.
Lopez did not waste a minute and immediately rolled up his sleeves, figuratively speaking, to do what he always do best and that is to launch a counter-offensive versus the Dilawans.
How? Well, you may start reading Mark Lopez’s FB post below to understand what I am trying to explain.
FACT CHECK: PNR TRAIN PURCHASE IS AQUINO PROJECT
Just for emphasis – FIRST TIME IN 40 YEARS na BUMILI ANG GOBYERNO NG TRAIN GALING SA BUDGET NITO, at HINDI FOREIGN LOAN O DONATION.
Walang naging aksyon. Malamang hindi alam kung pano mamanipulahin.
So fast forward sa 2017.
Dahil sa unutilized budget, minabuti ni Department of Transportation Secretary Art Tugade na gamitin yan for the PURCHASE OF NEW TRAINS.
Oo nga nag budget nung 2015 pero typical of the lethargic Aquino administration, ayun nag pa petiks petiks lang, at isipin nyo pa, ganung kalaking budget eh spare parts lang ang gustong bilhin? Hmmmm.
Now I dare you, i-fact check nyo yan sa DBM at sa PNR mismo.
In the meantime, now you know…
