Radio host offers simple explanation why ex-Senator Trillanes & company gets only “conspiracy to commit sedition” rap

Radio host Mark Lopez offered to explain Trillanes and company are only getting sued with “conspiracy to commit sedition” case to the consternation of netizens. “Peeps, LINAWIN NATIN HA.”

Lopez enumerated the people who are getting sued together with former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. “Ang kaso na sinampa kina TRILLANES, YOLY ONG, FR ALEJO, VICENTE ROMANO, BOOM ENRIQUEZ, EDUARDO ACIERTA, JOEL SARACHO, JONNEL SANGALANG, FR. VILLANUEVA, a certain MONIQUE, ,at kay PETER JOEMEL “BIKOY” ADVINCULA ay CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT SEDITION.

Not sedition but the lesser crime. “Hindi po SEDITION o INCITING TO SEDITION ang kinaso. Conspiracy to commit Sedition lang.”

“Iba po yan,” Lopez added.

Thus explains why Trillanes and company can post bail.

In case Trillanes and company are convicted, Lopez said they could 6 years imprisonment under Article 141 of RVP.

Lopez asked.

Lopez went to explain that the DOJ believed the evidence gathered suggest lack of elements that constitutes sedition because there was no overt act of sedition itself.

In other words, Trillanes and company did not execute their plans to oust the government because the public did not take the bite.

Lopez urged the public, especially the Duterte supporters to take chill. “So relax lang po tayo. Alam ko naman na emotions are high and marami tayo disappointed and enraged na bakit ganun lang ang kaso.”

Lopez said this also explains why Robredo, De Lima, the OtsoDiretso and Hontiveros were not included in the case because their roles were to enjoy the fruits of victory had they succeeded.

Kaya chill lang mga peeps,” Lopez reiterated his call to the public to take it easy.

Lopez urged the public at things in the brighter side. He said critics can no longer accuse PRRD of being a dictator. Because it was very clear the DOJ followed the law and acted with careful approach.

Lopez said he found solace that Yolly Ong is facing the prospect of going to prison.

Lopez made a promise to throw a party if that happens. “Pag dumating yang araw na yan, mag party tayo!”
