In the age of social media, information spreads like wildfire!
I assumed you have already seen the meme about an activist-turned NPA in your news feed but more often than not, we just ignore it and move on to the next story that catches our fancy.
That is why, if you have a son, a daughter, a sister, a brother or the children of your relatives or even friends who are now in high school, you need read this or share this to serve as a reminder what awaits our loved ones when they go astray and get radicalized because they choose the wrong people to hang around with.
Radio host Mark Lopez shared the story of Cindy Terado alias Ka Jill from Davao City who was killed during an encounter with the military.
Cindy was killed while the NPA commander identified as Jay Pogs escaped unharmed together with other comrades. BTW, the NPA commander was Cindy’s husband.
According to Lopez, Cindy was an HRM graduate of Assumption Davao and a student activist. When she graduated from college, her mother said that she rarely saw her daughter and all she knew her daughter became the husband of an NPA commander.
Cindy was a member of League of Filipino Students or LFS, Kabataan Party List and Karapatan.
Cindy’s mother complained that after Cindy was killed, her comrades did not even paid them a visit to console them in their time of grief.
Lopez addressed the students to think hard before joining these leftist organizations, because they will just end up like Cindy and many others before the, who were simply the cannon fodders of these leftists leaders while their leaders and families enjoy the luxuries of urban living.
ACTIVIST TURNED NPA

Kayo ang gagawing frontliner at ibabala sa digmaan samantalang sila ang mag papasarap at maikinabang sa mga pondo na nililikom nila mula sa bayan at pati sa ibang bansa.
Kayo ang ihihiwalay sa inyong mga pamilya at ilalagay sa panganib at alanganin while sila ay ligtas at malayang mamumuhay ng sosyal kasama ang kanilang buong kaanak.
Gaya nitong nangyari kay Cindy Terado alias Ka Jill.
Siya ay naging asawa ng kumander ng isang NPA unit, at nung nagka encounter na sila with the military, sya ang napatay samantalang yung asawa nya na si Kumander Jay Pogs at mga iba pang NPA ay nakatakas.
Sabi ng nanay ni Cindy, hindi na nya halos nakita ang anak pagkatapos nitong makapagtapos ng HRM course sa Assumption Davao, at alam nya na sumama nga ito sa isang lider ng NPA.
Ang nakakalungkot at nakakagalit ay wala ni isa sa mga kasamahan nya ang nakiramay at lumapit sa pamilya nya.
Si Cindy ay kasapi ng League of Filipino Students o LFS, Kabataan Party List at Karapatan. Ito ang mga front organizations ng CPP-NPA na syang nag re recruit ng mga estudyante para kunwaring maging aktibista pero gagawing terorista.
