Critics of President Duterte are having a field day taking a dig at the President on socmed after saying to the effect he will be the last to receive covid vaccine in favor of ordinary Filipinos.
On this note, ex-DLSU History professor Van Ybiernas can’t help but slammed the critics for getting confused what President Duterte said previously that he will offer himself to get injected with experimental vaccine versus Duterte’s latest statement that he will be the last one to receive the vaccine.
“May mga bobong naguluhan sa sinabi ni Duterte noon na siya unang magpapaturok sa EKSPERIMENTO para sa bakuna ng Covid at sa sinasabi nya ngayon na magpapahuli na siyang magpaturok.”
“Meron talagang mahina sa comprehension,” Ybiernas said in an irritated tone.
“Mauuna daw siya sa EKSPERIMENTO kung kailangan, bobo!” Ybiernas added.
Ybiernas explained that since the experiment is finished and the vaccine has been tested, President Duterte decided he would be at the end of the queue for covid vaccine.
“Pero dahil tapos na ang eksperimento at “subok” na ang bakuna, magpapahuli na lang siya.”
Ybiernas further explained that President Duterte offered himself as a guinea pig for the experimental vaccine in case Filipinos are scared to enlist in vaccine trial, to show that there is nothing to fear.
“Ibig sabihin —para sa mga bobong di makaintindi ito— kung takot ang ibang magpaturok sa testing, ang pangulo na ang mauuna para ipakitang walang dapat ikatakot.”
But since the search for vaccine is over and Filipinos are looking for vaccine, the President is willing to give up his slot.
“Pero ngayon na okay na at naghahanap na ng bakuna ang mga tao magpapahuli na siya.”
Ybiernas went on to wrap up his brief FB outburst by stating the critics huge proble.
“Reading comprehension is a huge problem talaga.
Huge problem.
Big problem.”
However, netizens commented that critics are criticizing President Duterte for the sake of criticizing even if they look like stupid.
