Repeal rice tarrification law, fire your advisers asap, says staunch lawyer PRRD supporter, in reaction to the firing of Nic Faeldon as BuCor chief

No one is more devastated than lawyer Trixie Cruz Angeles after the news Nic Faledon has been fired from his post as BuCor Chief.

Angeles fought hard for Faeldon, writing a series of FB post defending the ex-BuCor chief.

However, her pleas apparently did not reach PRRD since Faeldon was fired from his post unceremoniously.

So in a Facebook post, a highly emotional Angeles, shifted her focus from defending Faeldon to picking up the cudgels for the rice farmers.

BTW, the Filipino farmers are in dire straits after the price of rice grain (palay) has reportedly dropped to as low as P7?

In a Facebook post published today, 5 August 2019, Angeles asked PRRD to also fire the people who advised him to sign the Rice Tarrification Law.

Angeles reminded PRRD how he hesitated in signing the Rice Tarrification law because according to him, he wants Filipinos to have access to cheaper rice, especially the poor.

However, Angeles reckoned, a cheap rice as promised by the Rice Tarrification law isn’t happening.

Instead, 1.5 million rice farmers are now joining the ranks among the poorest of the poor in the country.

Angeles ended the FB post by leaving a strong message to PRRD: Please have your allies get to work and repeal that law, and fire your advisers, Mr. President, pakiusap lang po. Wag magpahostage.

Mr. President, why don’t you also fire the people who advised you to sign the Rice Tarrification Law?

Please have your allies get to work and repeal that law, and fire your advisers, Mr. President, pakiusap lang po. Wag magpahostage.
