Retired Army Colonel and ex-military rebel tells PRRD, “Let us honor a true hero”, starts “free General Palparan” movement on Facebook

After Mocha Uson released her video interview with jailed retired Major General Jovito Palparan, the clamor to pardon and release the General from jail appears to be picking up traction now on social media.

In the Mocha Uson interview, the distinguished retired General grabbed the opportunity given by Mocha Uson and aired his side of the story surrounding the circumstances of his incarceration.

If you’d recall, General Palparan vehemently denied he was behind the kidnapping and disappearance of two former UP students-turned NPA commanders.

Palparan alleged he was a victim of “turo-turo” by a witness he suspected was coached by his nemesis, the NDF.

In the same interview, Palparan said sadness in his voice, he could not contribute to PRRD’s quest of ending insurgency, which he said has the best chance of succeeding now.

Moving forward, retired Army Colonel and ex-military rebel Abe Puruggan has taken to Facebook to spearhead the online movement, appealing to PRRD to honor a true hero (referring to Palparan) by releasing him from prison.

Purugganan appealed to PRRD not to allow the liberals and the communists to continue to shame and malign a hero who dedicated his life for the security of the nation.

In other words, Purugganan remarked, Palparan deserved the nation’s highest respect because he served the country well, a true hero and patriot.

Purugganan ended the post with an emphatic message, ” FREE GENERAL PALPARAN!

LET US HONOR A TRUE HERO

Mr. President, please free Major General Jovito Palparan. Let us honor him, sir, by releasing him from prison. Please, help him.

Let us not allow the liberals and communists to continue to shame and malign a hero who dedicated all his life for the security of our nation.

He served our country very well. He is a true HERO, a true patriot.

FREE GENERAL PALPARAN!
