Leni Robredo and family allegedly went to the US to attend a family reunion and it was planned a year ago. The social media are now asking: “Where are your family reunion pics?’
On January 1, 2017, blogger Sass Rogando Sasot posted a thought provoking question to her Facebook followers and wrote:
Just did some sleuthing. I want to know kung sino ang ka-family reunion ni Leni sa New York noong pasko?
According to her, Leni’s brother spent Christmas in Calgary, Canada based on the latter’s Christmas pics posted on Facebook.
Her brother spent Christmas in Calgary, Canada. Wala naman si Leni doon sa mga pics.
Not wanting to be accused of inventing her story, blogger Sass shared a screengrab of the 2016 Christmas photo of Leni’s brother and his family and wrote:
Baka sabihing nag-iimbento ako. Ito ang kapatid ni Leni. Nasa Calgary noong December 25, kasama ang pamilya nya. I covered the face na lang noong bata. Galing iyan sa FB noong asawa noong kapatid ni Leni na lalake.
In the Christmas of 2013, Leni visited Canada in line with her duties as a Camarines Sur representative, giving her the excuse to spend Christmas with beloved brother.
“Noong inauguration pala ni Leni nandoon pala lahat ng kapatid, pamangkin niya, pati nanay niya…reunion na ba ito? Or…prelude?” Sass wrote in an earlier Facebook post.
Leni Robredo, who loves her pictures being taken, has not posted any pics of her so-called family reunion in the US.
Dr. Antonio Contreras of de La Salle Univerisity found Leni’s unwillingness to share her family reunion pics in the US “very odd” and unlikely of her.
To think that Leni refused to return home right away after learning that Bicol and her beloved Naga got pummeled by typhoon Nina in favor of the US family reunion, the least she could do is to share her pictures, as a solace to her typhoon stricken kababayans, correct?
Someone asked me this question. Leni Robredo is known to be someone who loves her pictures being taken, from the private moments of waiting for a bus and fleeing the pomp of the opening of Congress, to the public acts of visiting barangays in Camarines Sur. She loves to pose for photoshoots for the cover of magazines.
So the person who asked me was wondering why are there no pictures of her in the so-called family reunions in the US? Carlos A Cortes Jr stated as a comment in a similar feed that he saw posted separately are pictures of Leni’s mother Mrs. Gerona, of her three children, and of nephews and nieces on Jesse Robredo’s side. But none with Leni, and none for the entire clan who is supposed to be on the reunion. Indeed, very odd.
Meanwhile, VP Robredo’s New Year message has created another headache for the OVP’s PR handler when “Thinking Pinoy” accused Robredo of pre-recording it after failing to mention the victims of typhoon Nina in Bicol in general and her “kababayans” in Naga in particular. [Thinking Pinoy]
– Vice President Leni Robredo
