“Sobra na kayong nakakasuka” — Netizen to politicians riding community pantry bandwagon

Sickening! This is how a certain netizen named MJ Quiambao Reyes described the mainstream media, Opposition and subversive groups for politicizing the community pantry.

“Haaaay, lamestream, opposition, at subversive groups. Sobra na kayong nakakasuka. Pati pagtulong sa kapwa pinupulitika nyo pa.”

Reyes says that this community pantry phenomenon isn’t new. She cited several examples to drive home her point.

“Long before the pandemic, there already was Duterte Kitchen –along w/ several humanitarian organizations (Tzu Chi, The Little Swallow, Second Chances, & many more).”

Reyes argues that even before the mainstream media started covering and the Opposition hijacked the community pantry in Maginhawa, a certain religious group has been doing a bigger activity like this without attracting the limelight to their charitable works.

But….This group and their leaders behind such noble endeavor is doing this out of purity of their hearts.

Because they are supportive to this government and refused to be used by destabilizers, it is expected that mainstream media will not report them as news.

Meanwhile, Reyes observes how mainstream is enamored with Aling Mema that her statements and photo ops are local mainstream media’s staple in their news reports. Reyes also exposed mainstream media’s other vice.

Halatang halata.”

On statement of politicians that their act of helping is a kind of resistance and desperation against the government, Reyes says this is not new to her because they offer nothing new to what they are doing.

“Kung yang mga “pagtulong” ninyo (I am referring to you, mga pulitikong bano (Hi Sen. Ting & VP Negneg) sampu ng mga subersibong elemento at lamestream media na kaalyado ninyo) ay act of resistance against the gov’t at sign of desperation, kayo lang yun at wala naman ng bago sa ginagawa nyo.”

Reyes clarifies that her charitable works is not an act of resistance but…

“For me & for most people, what we did and what we continue to do for our fellowmen are ACTS OF LOVE (NOT RESISTANCE).”

Reyes offers a few words of appreciation for Filipinos and the likes of MCGI (religious org) for their non-publicized charitable works.
