Social Media influencer and Manila Bulletin writer Krizette Chu found Senator Risa Hontiveros statement regarding the murder of FEU booter Kieth Absolon wanting and insincere.
In a Facebook post, Chu compared Senator Hontiveros’ statement to someone who just dropped Mama’s expensive vase but you were hesitant to admit it but at the same time you don’t want to blame another person for the broken vase.
Chu went on to share her what she would have told her Mom upon the discovery of the broken vase:
“Ma, dapat talaga may managot. Kung sino man yan, super sayang talaga! Napaka halaga ng vase na yan. This is an overwhelming loss.”
Chu said Risa Hontiveros’ statement with regards to the murder of Kieth Absolon reminded her of this scenario that many of us experienced in our childhood and how our mother’s would react to our excuses.
“ETO TALAGA YON. Sabi ng Nanay mo: BAKIT LABAS SA ILONG? (Until now I don’t know what it means).”
Chu ended the brief FB post on a serious note by teaching Senator Hontiveros how to make the proper indignation statement.
“RISA, Repeat after me: I CONDEMN THE NPA.”
Chu’s has provided comic relief to a very depressing news lately, generating 5,000+ clicks of FB’s laugh emoji out of 9,200+ reactions, 411 shares and 793 comments in just 7 hours.
Commenting on Chu’s thread, one netizen recalled how Senator Hontiveros even started vigils for Kian delos Santos. “Sen. Risa, diba nung namatay si Kian halos dun na kayo natulog dahil Gabi Gabi nagbi-vigil kayo at may panawagan pa…GAWIN NYO yan ngayon sa burol ni Keith, ay oo nga pala, kabaro nyo pala kaya LABAS ILONG lang concern nyo”
“She did not condemn because she is the protector. Simple mathematics,” said another netizen.
“Kung mga sundalo or pulis nakapatay nasa lamay na mga hinayupak na yan. At nasa kalye na rin sila Elago at iba pang mga makabayan kuno,” commented another.
