UP Law grad runs to Mocha Uson’s rescue after Ogie Diaz slams Mocha for hitting Leni Robredo’s visit to Batangas evacuation center

UP Law alumnus and Davaoeno Atty. Ahmed Paglinawan slammed showbiz talent manager Ogie Diaz on Facebook for demanding Mocha Uson as public official to pitch in and help Batangas evacuees rather than hitting Robredo.

Diaz lashed at Mocha Uson after the OWWA Deputy Director shared an article on her FB page “Mocha Uson Blog” from MindaNation. Diaz is apparently pro-Leni Robredo based on Facebook post that expresses support for the VP.

In the said FB post, Diaz asked Mocha Uson if she already visited Batangas since the Taal volcano started acting up.

Otherwise, Mocha should help the evacuees in Batangas because she is getting salary from the people’s money. And Mocha must justify that she is deserving of the P130/month salary.

Speaking of the article that Mocha Uson shared, basically the article revolved around a Facebook comment allegedly made by a Batangas resident who complained that the vice president spent more paying for bodyguards and reporters who accompanied her when she visited an evacuation center in Batangas compared to the five pandesals and a bottle of mineral water she handed out to each evacuees.

Of course, Rappler said this is fake news. Rappler said Robredo distributed 2,101 food packs and 1,000 face masks to the Taal victims through Angat Buhay and its partner organizations. Each food pack contained 1.5 kilos of rice, assorted canned goods, and two packs of noodles. [Rappler]

Moving forward, Paglinawan remarked that Diaz was barking at the wrong tree. According to him, the OFWs, who are Mocha Uson’s constituents by virtue of her position as Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Executive Director are based abroad, not in Batangas.

Paglinawan clarified that if Diaz was demanding Mocha Uson’s obligation as a public official, the talent manager should addressed his concern to the relevant public official and office. Paglinawan stressed that first two letter of OWWA means Overseas Workers.

Paglinawan turned the tables around Diaz, asking him as an artist, or whatever his preference to be categorized, if it’s okay if the public asks him to act sweep around Taal?

Paglinawan reckoned that Diaz knows how to think.

Unless Diaz was merely joking when he asked Mocha Uson about visiting Batangas. If that is the case, Paglinawan said that Diaz’s joke isn’t funny.
