A post telling the Filipinos to learn from China to catch up with our economically-rich Asian neighbors has been doing the rounds online.
In a recent Facebook post, US-based lawyer named Edward Liu shared his keen observation where the Philippines is moving economically under the leadership of President Rodrigo Duterte.
In his post, Atty. Edward Liu noted that the economic vision of the incoming administration is geared towards developing agriculture, fisheries, ocean resources, aqua-farming not on BPO (Business Processing Operation) cheap labor-grunt work for American multinational corporations….low-tech grunt work for high-tech, offshore-in-shore contract manufacturing, call centers, data-processing, bookkeeping and low-end clerical work.
The lawyer welcomes the policy shift of the incoming President because he believes in the potential of the country as one of the key hubs for ocean-seafood resource food source.
However, the US-based lawyer noted that unless the Filipinos get their act together and do away with our obsession with anything American, we are not going anywhere economically speaking as a country.
He says, we should learn from China, including its pluses and minuses and unlearn from the Americans…specially their slack, do-nothing politicians, gridlock and war-mongering!

Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte’s economic vision now is shifting the Philippine priority and growth plans towards more focus and resources devoted to agriculture, fisheries, ocean resources, aqua-farming not on BPO (Business Processing Operation) cheap labor-grunt work for American multinational corporations….low-tech grunt work for high-tech, offshore-inshoring contract manufacturing, call centers, data-processing, bookkeeping and low-end clerical work.
The Philippines has enormous potential as one of the key hubs for ocean-seafood resource food source. Fisheries, seafood and aqua-farming have so much natural potential.
The land, the climate, the topography are fertile and abundant for vegetables, produce and fruits.
Bananas, mangoes, papayas, guavas, coconuts, jackfruits-langkas, durians, starfruits, mangosteens, lanzones, star fruits, atis, tropical fruits etc. etc.are excellent!
If only the Filipinos can get their act together instead of trying to ape and kiss the asses of Americans, and get side-tracked by song and dance, “American Idol,” basketbull, Miss Universe beauty contests, trivial, vulgar pop Hollywood schlick-schlock, and “Dancing with the Stars!”
Look at these photos I took at Seafood City Supermarket…in my neck of the ‘hood, 5 miles from San Francisco.
Wow! Agriculture and food are the future of the Philippines! Not picking a fight against China and the Chinese!
Learn from China…its pluses and minuses!
Unlearn from the Americans…specially their slack, do-nothing politicians, gridlock and war-mongering!

This is a bulls-eye article. It is exactly spot on. The Philippines is also a vacation paradise and can also be harvested as a major industry if Duterte is allowed to clean up crime and corruption without the US worthless advice.
