Viral post blasts Aquino for taking credit on free educ: Wag kang umepal diyan, matagal kinampanya ang free education sa panahon ni Noynoy, wala kayong ginawa

Sen. Bam Aquino paid Facebook to make the announcement on social media that free education to all SUC’s (State Universities or Colleges) is now a law.

Aquino’s Facebook announcement of free education reforms to SUC’s has elicited mixed reactions in social media.

The senator’s sponsored post on Facebook has been getting positive reviews from his supporters.

Donato Bumacas commented on Facebook that reads:

Great work Senator for the service of the Filipino people! I wanted to talk with you during our Awarding as Jollibee 6TH FAMILY VALUES AWARS winner but time did not allow. Anyway, we the BUMACAS FAMILY are proud of your achievements in the SERVICE OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE!

Yolanda Reyes wrote that Bam is worthy of the Aquino surname.

Good job senator Bam Aquino😀,, you deserve that surname 🙏

Thelma Enriquez lauded Aquino and wrote:

Bravo!! Sen Bam Aquino !!! God Bless u More for tje Good will Done for the Youth !!! Mabuhay ka !!!

Gina Bautista joined Thelma Enriquez in praising Aquino for making the free education possible.

Well done Sen Bam. Many students will benefit.

Meanwhile, many netizens believe  Bam Aquino is guilty of credit-grabbing for the enactment of the law that makes free education to SUC’s possible.

Netizen Lorca Caiña wrote a strong dissenting opinion against the idea that Bam Aquino is the father of free education in SUC’s under the Duterte administration.  Check out the full text of the viral post below.

Takot na takot kayong gawing libre ang edukasyon dahil ayaw niyong mawalan ng kita ang private schools.

Ilang kabataan ang pinatay ng sistema ng edukasyon sa ilalim ng nakaraang administrasyon hindi niyo nagawang libre ang tuition sa SUCs, ngayong naipasa sa pangunguna ng kabataan tsaka ka eepal? Uweee!

As of this writing, the post has been shared more than 1,000 times on Facebook.

Aquino is the chairman of the senate committee on education, culture and sports.
