A post warning social media about a different kind of modus employed by Budol-budol to steal from unsuspecting victims is making the rounds online.
Facebook user Cris Dalida, mother of the teenage girl victim, issued the warning on March 23, 2017 to alert the public about the modus victimizing her unsuspecting daughter.
Ms. Dalida said the incident happened in SM Bacoor Cavite inside Toms World.
Ms. Dalida’s daughter narrated that a woman in her 30’s to 40’s approached her pretending that she knew the victim’s mother.
After convincing the young girl that the suspect and her mother are friends, the suspect implemented the second part of her criminal plan.

Here we go. According to the victim, the suspect told her that an uncle is waiting for her in the SM Supermarket because he has something to give her.
The suspect convinced the victim to go and see her uncle. When the young victim was convinced, the suspect told the latter to leave her knapsack to her classmates who were with the young victim at the time of the incident.
So the victim acquiesced to the suspect’s every request and off they went to SM Supermarket on the ground level to see the waiting uncle that was never there in the first place.
When the suspect and young victim reached the SM Supermarket, the suspect suddenly left and disappeared.
Immediately, the young victim returned to her classmates in Toms World and discovered that her bag, containing a mobile phone and cash disappeared together with the woman suspect.
Her classmates told her that they thought she was her “yaya” so they gave her bag to the woman suspect when the latter returned.
Using a phone app, they traced the phone and probably the suspect in Alalingan Batangas, some 94 plus kilometers from SM Bacoor, Bacoor Cavite.

“MAGINGAT SA BABAENG ITO! IBANG PARAAN NG MODUS AT ANG BINIBIKTIMA ANG MGA BATA. Around 3pm sa Sm Bacoor sa Tomsworld, may babaeng nasa edad 35-45 years old na lumapit sa anak ko at nagpanggap na kaibigan ko. Sinabihan niya ang anak ko na nandyan yung tito niya at hinahanap daw siya sa supermarket at may ibibigay sakanya. Dahil nadaan niya yung anak ko usap usap agad naman naniwala na kakilala niya talaga ako. Then, sinabi ng babaeng modus na iiwan muna yung bag niya sa classmate niya at yun naman ginawa ng anak ko. Kasama niya pumunta yung babae sa supermarket tapos bigla daw siya iniwan at pag balik niya sa mga classmates niya kinuha daw yung bag laman ang cellphone at pera ng babaeng kausap niya kasi akala ng mga classmate niya na yaya siya ng anak ko. Tinrack namin ang location ng phone around 7pm nasa ALALINGAN, BATANGAS. KUNG SINO MAN PO MAKAKITA SA BABAENG ITO IPAGBIGAY ALAM AGAD SA PULISYA PARA WALA NG MABIKTIMANG IBA. BE ALERT!”
